Sr. St. Joseph Butler is the Administrator at the Tŷ Croeso Centre. Originally from the South East of England, she taught for some years in Wales before taking up the post as Head Teacher in a very large multi cultural Primary School in Morden, (London Borough of Merton.) She had been assistant manager of the Team since 2010 and joined the Tŷ Croeso Community in the summer of 2013. She coordinates the bookings, oversees our staff, welcomes guests to the centre as well as keeping an eye on IT and using her giftedness for organising and using equipment. Sr. St. Joseph is a friendly and welcoming presence at Tŷ Croeso and keeps the place ticking over with her excellent organisational skills.

Sr. Colette Landy is a member of the team and is responsible for some of the practical day to day running of the Centre. Originally from the Isle of Wight and a primary school teacher by profession, she spent 8 years developing and organising nursery education in the Gambia in West Africa. She has a particular interest in practical things and especially keeping the shop well supplied with cards and religious items. At the moment she balances her time at the Centre with the responsibility of working with a mission organisation, Misean Cara. This involves outreach work from Ty Croeso, obtaining funding for mission projects, meetings and travel to monitor and evaluate the projects in India and Africa.

Sister Carol McClean is a team member and helps with the practical day to day running of the centre. Carol, who is from Yorkshire, spent some years as a prison chaplain in Kent before moving back to Wales to join the Pastoral Care Team in St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Anne’s Hospice which at the time was run by the Sisters of St. Joseph. She brings her giftedness as a spiritual director as well as her secretarial skills to Ty Croeso and assists in running prayer days in the centre.

Sr Bridget Pritchard is a member of the Ty Croeso team involved in the day to day running of the Centre. Sister leads groups through days of prayer and reflection and supports our retreat work. She is a trained Spiritual Director.
A Biology teacher by profession has lead to a great interest in the interface between science and religion and has worked with parish groups, school staff and our own sisters to explore the wonders of God’s creation and where we fit into the picture.
Recently Sr Bridget has become the link person between the Ty Croeso Centre and the Refugee Befriending Project currently running from The Sanctuary on Stow Hill. As a guitarist she enjoys using her musical skills to lead the Abbey community in their Sunday worship once a month. Sister is originally from the Welsh Valleys.
